Full Day Volunteer
Our day volunteer experience is a great chance to visit Kids Saving the Rainforest and give back during your vacation! The day will begin with a fun & informative guided tour of our Wildlife Sanctuary. During the tour, you will meet and learn about sloths, spider monkeys, kinkajous, and many other unique animals that call the sanctuary home. The guided tour is followed by refreshments and a short activity with an animal caretaker or biologist before lunch. After the break, you’ll help us at the most exciting time of the day: dinner time! You’ll help us cook and prepare the food for the animals and, of course, feed them.

Long Term Volunteer
Our volunteer program is available for stays from a few days to a few months. You’ll be helping in the sanctuary for unreleasable animals, working up close with sloths, monkeys, macaws, etc. Typical daily duties include food preparation and distributing food and water to the animals who reside in the sanctuary, cleaning enclosures, providing enrichment, foraging for wild food, and, in general, improving the quality of life of the animals in our care. During your volunteering period, you’ll be living on-site together with other volunteers and interns from different countries and backgrounds, which makes the experience even more enriching.
